Christian and Claire’s wedding day was nothing short of perfection.
A small ceremony of 70 guests created an atmosphere full of love and laughter. Claire’s design of simple elegance paired with her midday wedding created a vision of bright, earthy beauty.
Claire enlisted Pieces from the very beginning. As the process began, she laid out her vision for us, and we immediately got to work. Pairing florals, recommending vendors, choosing colors and decor- we began to bring those pieces into place.
The Cottage Venue in Laurel hosted this gorgeous wedding day. Fun fact: Claire was the first bride to be married at The Cottage! Both ceremony and reception would take place inside the venue. Half of the venue would be used for the ceremony while the other half was hidden and filled with food, cakes, flowers, and other reception goodies. After the intimate ceremony, a fellowship hour took place outside to give us a moment to flip the venue so guests could be seated indoors.
The Pieces team spent much of the night preparing the venue for wedding day! Because this was a 2pm wedding, we needed to get a head start.
The Pieces team and The Cottage team set up outdoor tables and chairs, food tables, ceremony rows, and even the DJ stage. All in hopes that when the bride arrived, she would already see pieces falling into place!
We then spent a late night at the venue setting up cake tables, other decor, and even doing florals.
That’s right! Claire entrusted us with the floral work for her magical day!
This arch was the backdrop for their love filled ceremony. It created the perfect photos and the round archway mimicking the wedding bands beautifully captures the representation of an everlasting love. Claire’s vision was such a joy to bring to life.
Wedding day began, and we arrived on site early to finish up the details! Ashlyn Smith with Snaps by Ashlyn arrived to begin details shots. Lisa Little Catering arrived to begin preparing the gorgeous food display. All the while, we worked feverishly behind the scenes to perfect every part of the Schubert’s ceremony and reception.
And onto the leave! Claire and Christian left their dreamy wedding in this vintage convertible! But not before Ashlyn snapped some amazing pictures!
Ashlyn said to Claire “Oh man, I wish you had some sassy sunglasses. We could do some totally fun pictures!” Luckily Reagan overheard this conversation and offered up her own! I would say the photo opportunity was well worth it!
Attention to detail and having everything taken care of to enjoy your big day stress free, it’s what Pieces is really all about.
Here's to a the Schuberts and a lifetime of happiness!
